To investigate the connection between city sound and its absence during confinement, the following survey was written. How the environment affects its inhabitants is a complicated web. Sound is all around us and holds meaning. Every environment has a different sound and therefore should affect us in different ways. If sound is compressed air waves that create a vibration in our inner ear causing us to feel, think, and act, then our environment will most definitely affect us, but how can we understand how it works in such a dynamic ecosystem?

Well, you have to start some where and keep working on it!
This survey was written by Nicole DiSante with influence from the Weinstein Noise Sensitivity Scale (WNSS)(7). More than 100 people were surveyed from April 28- May 5, 2020 through FB networks. The survey proposes to test people's noise sensitivity and then assess how they are affected by the quiet during confinement.
I received responses from various countries but majority were in North America.
